Aoife Dillon, founder of SeaSaLT Speech & Language Therapy

About SeaSaLT

I set up SeaSaLT after navigating the waiting lists myself as a parent of a child with speech delay. I know how overwhelming it can feel — and how much difference the right support makes.

I'm Aoife Dillon — a CORU-registered Speech & Language Therapist with a BSc(Hons) from Trinity College Dublin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the things parents and adult clients ask me most.

What happens at a first session?
Add answer here — describe the initial consultation flow: a friendly chat to understand the client's goals, an informal assessment, no pressure, and a plan for next steps. [ANSWER NEEDED]
How do I know if my child needs speech therapy?
Add answer here — common signs parents can look for by age (limited vocabulary, unclear speech, frustration when communicating, difficulty following instructions, etc.) and when a conversation with an SLT is worth having. [ANSWER NEEDED]
Do you work with adults as well as children?
Yes — I work with adults on speech clarity, voice, stuttering, language recovery after illness or injury, and communication confidence in work or social settings. [ANSWER NEEDED — expand]
Are sessions online or in person?
Both. In-person sessions take place in Co. Louth. Online sessions happen on a secure, private video platform and work well for most goals. [ANSWER NEEDED — describe how online works in practice]
How many sessions will we need?
It depends on the goals and the starting point, but a typical block is 6–12 sessions. After the initial assessment I give an honest estimate, and we review progress regularly. [ANSWER NEEDED — confirm typical range]
Do you work with children with autism or additional needs?
Yes — I have extensive experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, and a range of additional needs, using approaches like Gestalt Language Learning, Lámh, and AAC support. [ANSWER NEEDED]
Is there a waiting list?
No long waits — most clients can book their first session within the next week or two. I keep availability flexible so you don't sit in a queue. [ANSWER NEEDED — confirm this is accurate]
